Are you ready for some adventures Down Under? Today, I'm going to take you on a virtual tour of the five best places to visit in beautiful New Zealand, followed by an itinerary I created for some clients’ honeymoon. Strap in, because we're about to explore some gorgeous landscapes, vibrant cities, and a whole lot of Kiwi charm.

The five best places to visit in New Zealand

#1: Auckland

Let's kick things off in the heart of New Zealand's North Island. Auckland is a vibrant, multicultural city surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Take a stroll along the waterfront at the Viaduct Harbour, where you'll find bustling cafes, restaurants, and luxury yachts bobbing in the marina. For breathtaking views, head to the iconic Sky Tower and conquer your fear of heights by taking a walk on the wild side with the SkyWalk or SkyJump. And don't forget to explore the nearby Waiheke Island, known for its picturesque vineyards and beautiful beaches.

#2: Queenstown

Next up, let's venture to the adventure capital of New Zealand – Queenstown! Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, this adrenaline-fueled town offers an array of thrilling activities. If you're a fan of adrenaline, get your heart pumping with bungee jumping, skydiving, or jet boating. If you prefer a more laid-back experience, take a scenic gondola ride to the top of Bob's Peak and feast your eyes on panoramic views of the Remarkables mountain range. And don't leave without exploring Milford Sound, a jaw-dropping fjord that will leave you in awe of Mother Nature's masterpiece.

#3: Rotorua

Prepare yourself for a unique geothermal experience in Rotorua. This city on the North Island is famous for its bubbling mud pools, steaming geysers, and soothing hot springs. Immerse yourself in Maori culture by visiting the Whakarewarewa Thermal Village and witness traditional dances and performances. Take a dip in the mineral-rich waters of the Polynesian Spa for some relaxation or get your adrenaline fix with a zorbing adventure down the hills. Oh, and the sulfuric smell in the air? Consider it a natural perfume.

#4: Wellington

Let's hop over to the coolest little capital in the world – Wellington! This vibrant city is situated at the southern tip of the North Island and offers a mix of culture, creativity, and stunning scenery. Explore Te Papa Tongarewa, the national museum, where you can learn about New Zealand's fascinating history and heritage. Take a ride on the iconic Wellington Cable Car, which offers fantastic views of the city and takes you to the picturesque Botanic Garden. And if you're a foodie, make sure to sample the city's thriving culinary scene – the coffee here is legendary!

#5: Christchurch

Last but certainly not least, we have the resilient city of Christchurch on the South Island. Following the devastating earthquakes in 2010 and 2011, Christchurch has risen from the rubble to become a symbol of strength and creativity. Explore the vibrant street art in the city center, stroll through the tranquil Christchurch Botanic Gardens, or take a punt ride along the Avon River. For an unforgettable experience, hop on the Christchurch Gondola and soak in panoramic views of the city, the Southern Alps, and the Canterbury Plains.

And there you have it – a whirlwind tour of the five best places to visit in New Zealand. Each destination offers a unique experience, from city thrills to awe-inspiring natural wonders.
