Why should I use a travel agent?

Time: Studies have shown that the average trip researcher spends over 80 hours working on their next vacation. Why not have us work for you and save you hours, days, and weeks of research?
Money: As agents, we have access to all of the flights, transportation, and accommodations, plus excursions, tours, and experiences to package with that. We save you money by putting all of that together and customizing it to be the amazing getaway you’ve been hoping for!
Experience: We have to toot our own horn on this one. We’ve been  travel advisors for over 20 years. Chances are, we can help you. If not, we’ll tell you we’re not a good fit for each other. We don’t want to waste your time or ours.
Someone working for you: We hope nothing goes wrong on your trip, like delayed flights, or lost baggage, or your transportation not showing up. But if it does, wouldn’t it be amazing to have someone to call and help fix it for you? Using us as your travel agency, you have that person. It means you don’t have to worry about anything. Or, you return home and are bugged because that ocean view room you paid for turned out to be a view of the hotel’s electrical system. If you’ve used us to book your trip, we get to be the ones to help work those things out for you.

Do you plan group trips?

We love groups, and we’ve helped with all types of group travel: corporate incentive trips, friend groups, family reunions, destination weddings, birthday celebrations, yoga retreats, singles cruises, and many more. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll help you pull it off! We take the stress out of putting that group trip together.

What if I find a better rate online?

Accepted Answer

Let us know!!! We are happy to see if we can match or beat a price you’ve found. We’ve seen it go both ways: either it’s some kind of a too-good-to-be-true type of deal, or it really IS that good. We’ll tell you, trust me. I love finding a deal just as much as the next person!!

Question 4

I just heard about this amazing price from a (friend, website, family member). Should I hurry and book it?"

Accepted Answer

Call or e-mail us first, just to be sure (see question above). After all, it doesn’t hurt to know for certain, right?  We know that a lot of people are so excited about that upcoming trip that they want to jump online and check out some stuff for themselves, and we’re great with that. If you find it and we book it, we both win—and you’ve got the benefits of using a travel agent (see the first question above).

What if I don’t really like what you sent me?

Accepted Answer

TELL US! We seriously are all about communication. We are fine to hear, “That’s not at all what we were thinking. We’d rather have….” than have you quit talking to us because you’re afraid you’ll hurt our feelings. We’d LOVE to have you tell us that what you actually wanted was X rather than Y, because that lets us know what you’re really interested in. And that’s AWESOME. As great as we are at our job, we can’t read minds.

Can I accrue (or use) frequent flyer miles when I book with you?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! If you have frequent flyer numbers, let us know and we’ll enter those so you can accrue points. If you want to use your points for your flights, just let us know up front and you can arrange flights on your own through the airline; we’ll arrange everything else.

Can I accrue hotel or car rental points?

Accepted Answer

Yep. Just give us your numbers and we’ll enter them for you.

Why do you charge a fee? Can’t I go online and book the same thing without paying a fee?

If you want only what is offered online, then we’re not the right fit for each other. We provide so much more than just clicking buttons on a computer! Our fee covers the time involved in researching and creating a highly customized travel experience for you. Would you ever think of asking your hairdresser or accountant to provide services without paying them?  For more details on fees, see the Services section.

Question 9

Can I book airfare only through you (no hotels, rental cars, or other services)?"

Accepted Answer

Yes. We charge a $20 per person booking fee, if flights are not included in a package.

Is travel insurance important?

Absolutely! Did you know your medical insurance policy probably only covers medical emergencies in the contiguous 48 states?
