There’s a brand-new ship built by Celebrity which hasn’t been released yet; it’s due to start sailing April 2022. She’s called the Celebrity Beyond, and she is going to be incredible, with a Grand Plaza with different lighting for day and night; a rooftop garden with float pools that extend over the open ocean; a Main Pool surrounded by an outward-facing, terraced pool deck so you can enjoy the beautiful ocean views; incredible dining venues, and so much more. Celebrity Beyond is true luxury travel. This would be an amazing ship to sail on with a retreat group, or group of friends. My favorite part is the wellness aspect of this beautiful ship.
Wellness staterooms
For the best wellness experience, I recommend booking the AquaClass staterooms or suites, which are dedicated to well-being. All AquaClass staterooms include a balcony, pillow menus, and access to an exclusive clean cuisine restaurant called Blu. They offer an in-room fitness menu, where you get to choose a customized wellness experience. Additionally, you’ll enjoy the SEA Thermal Suite, a spa concierge, a complimentary fitness pass, preferential rates on AquaClass spa packages, daily in-room bottled water service, healthy room-service menu options, and a yoga mat for use onboard.
AquaClass suites take it up a notch and include everything listed above, plus special wellness shore excursions and a spa credit onboard. And of course, you are staying in a large suite, rather than a regular balcony stateroom.
These AquaClass staterooms would be perfect for a retreat or friends’ getaway.
The Spa
The spa is an amazing, luxurious sanctuary where you can clear your mind, fine-tune your body, reinvigorate your spirit, or do all of the above. With over 120 services, it may be difficult to decide what you want! But don’t worry; when you make your appointment you’ll be asked what you want to feel like, and they’ll recommend services for you.
SEA Thermal Suite
The SEA Thermal Suite has eight therapeutic experiences, all inspired by nature as a place to relax and connect with other wellness lovers before or after your treatments at The Spa. The SEA Thermal Suite is complimentary to all AquaClass guests. Some of the experiences include a Crystalarium, Salt Room, Steam Room, and Float Room.
Fitness
The fitness programming on Celebrity Beyond is by F45. It includes innovative, high-intensity group workouts in cardio, resistance, and hybrid training. Sessions are versatile, adapting to what each guest wants.
Additionally, you can participate in classes such as LIT Bungee Fit, HIIT, and Peloton classes, or use the Technogym weight machines and cardio equipment.
Recovery Lounge
The recovery lounge offers a range of devices designed to help you move better, gently kneading the knots out of your body. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or you’re just looking to feel refreshed, the recovery lounge will help you feel your best. Workout Recovery Services features technology to increase your circulation, decrease muscle fatigue, and lead to faster healing and recovery.
Celebrity Beyond Itineraries
In April 2022, Celebrity Beyond is scheduled to start sailing the Italian and French Riviera, plus the Greek Islands, Malta, and Italy. Beginning in late October through April 2023, she will take you to the Caribbean islands: the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands. She’ll also include a couple of Transatlantic journeys, combining days at sea with port days in Spain, Portugal and the Azores.
Sailing requirements for Celebrity Cruise Lines
Celebrity crews are all fully vaccinated, and require at least 95% of their guests to be vaccinated as well. All guests 12 and older must be fully vaccinated, with both doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.
Onboard health measures
All ships have new fresh air distribution systems in public spaces and in staterooms, and HEPA filtration systems in the Medical Centers and other isolation rooms. Contact tracing and rapid response plans are in place in case of illness onboard.
Conclusion
New plus familiar is a great combination: we get the thrill of a new experience added to the comfort of something familiar. Cruising in general fits that description right now, and cruising on the Celebrity Beyond is REALLY beyond anything we’ve experienced before!
