Atelier Playa Mujeres is an all-inclusive resort in Cancun that offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for adults.
These are some of my favorite things about Atelier:
Location:
Only about 45 minutes from the Cancun Airport, located in the gated community of Playa Mujeres. Because it’s across from Isla Mujeres, the beach is nearly always sargassum-free.
Water, watersports and activities.
From kayaking and snorkeling to beach volleyball and pool parties, you'll never run out of things to do. Sign up for windsurfing lessons, play a game of beach tennis, or join a beach yoga class in the morning. Atelier has dedicated activity coordinators, so you can try new things every day.
There are four pools: the Life & Vibe pool and the Relaxing pool for all guests, and two pools for Inspira guests.
Atelier has a variety of evening entertainment. There’s a theater on-site, or you can find one of the bars or locations where live music is playing.
Restaurants.
Atelier has 13 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, and 12 bars. Enjoy 24-hour room service for lazy mornings in bed. Mercado 19 is the international buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the Cala di Luna, home of Mediterranean cuisine, and thought Los Abrazos, the steakhouse, was fantastic. Lunch at Limon y Sal, located by the pools, was also a treat. And you’ve got to try the ice cream flavors at the two coffee shops! Food at Atelier was fantastic.
World-class spa and wellness experiences.
The beautiful NUUP Spa is over 38,000 square feet, over three levels. There are 18 treatment rooms, some are individual Spa Suites with a tub and lounge area. They offer couples massages in a private cabana right on the beach. The hydrotherapy circuit features sensory experiences like a herbal steam room, cold plunge pool, sauna, and more.
Rooms.
The sleek, contemporary decor of the rooms and suites will make you feel right at home. Beds are super comfortable. Soak in the deep tub or lounge on your private terrace overlooking the lush gardens. Upgrade to a swim-up suite for direct pool access or an oceanfront room for glorious sea views.
Bonus:
The smell! Atelier has the most amazing scent!
Caveat: if you're looking for a loud, party resort, this probably isn't the best fit for you. And it takes about a day to figure out the layout of the property. Other than that, I have nothing but accolades.
Atelier Playa Mujeres is the perfect adults-only, upscale getaway. The food, the water, the restaurants, the spa, and the rooms are all fantastic. I would 10/10 recommend this upscale all-inclusive resort!
