Getting a massage is one of my favorite things EVER. If you’ve never had one, I’m telling you: you’re missing out! I love going to the day spa just 10 minutes from where I live, but for an even bigger treat, I love getting massages on vacation. Best of all is going on vacation specifically FOR wellness: pampering, spa treatments, yoga, exercise, adventure, amazing food, great sleep…. You get the idea.
Whether you have the luxury of booking an entire trip around wellness, or can just spare a night or two (or perhaps even live close enough to use one of these spas as a day trip), today I want to focus on some U.S. hotels with great spas. If you’re on vacation (or live) near one of these great spas, take advantage, and get one of their treatments.
Although the most popular treatments are massages, spa treatments also include facials (for both men and women), body wraps or scrubs, hydrotherapy, steam & saunas, and some include hair, nails, and waxing. Treatments can be therapeutic, pampering, or a combination. Most spas offer a signature massage or treatment which is specific to their local area or history.
