Looking for the perfect girls’ getaway trip without leaving the U.S.?

Whatever you are craving: spa-centric, outdoorsy-but-easy, foodie-focused, or nostalgic coastal, these three-day girls’ trips will help you reconnect, recharge, and create some great memories. For each destination, I give hotel suggestions and a sample three-day itinerary to help you visualize exactly how it could unfold.

If you have been searching for girls’ trip ideas, one of these might be your next favorite escape.

Spa-centric girls’ trip: Aspen, Colorado

Aspen works beautifully for a spa centric girls’ trip because you get true destination spas, walkable luxury in town, and easy add ons like short hikes and shopping between treatments.

Where to stay

  • For a trip with lots of on-site pampering, the St. Regis Aspen or Hotel Jerome are perfect choices.

  • If you’re OK being in nearby Snowmass rather than downtown Aspen, the Spa at Viceroy Snowmass is good for a quieter resort-style stay.

Day 1: Arrive + your first spa treatment

  • Afternoon: Have a spa session at Remède Spa (The St. Regis); try the altitude recovery treatment.

  • Evening: Easy evening stroll through downtown, have dinner at Matsuhisa.

Day 2: Big spa day + light exploring

  • Morning: Yoga class, then full spa day at The Little Nell's spa with massages and the outdoor heated pool.

  • Afternoon: Light lunch at their restaurant. Visit the Aspen Art Museum (free admission), or take a short walk around town and along the Rio Grande Trail.

  • Evening: Sunset cocktails or mocktails at Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro (take the gondola up). Have dinner at Element 47. If you enjoy nightlife, check out Belly Up Aspen for music and a show.

Day 3: Final treatments or nature outing

  • Morning: Final spa session: maybe a facial or body wrap, manicure or scalp/foot massage, OR

  • Shuttle or drive to Maroon Bells Lake area. This has an iconic view and an easy lakeside walk.

  • Midday: One last visit to the high-end boutiques on Cooper Avenue and Galena Street.

  • Afternoon: head to the airport for your flight home.

Outdoorsy but easy girls’ getaway: Jackson, Wyoming

Jackson offers epic Teton mountain scenery with low effort ways to experience it: scenic drives, boat tours, wildlife safaris, and short walks or longer hikes.

Where to stay

  • In-town lodge near the Town Square so you can walk to restaurants and shops.

  • Another option is a Teton Village hotel for easy gondola access and on site hot tubs.

Day 1 – Town + viewpoints

  • Afternoon: Arrive, settle in, and stroll the Town Square (antler arches, galleries, western chic shops).

  • Evening: Casual dinner in town, then drive to an over look (Schwabacher Landing or Oxbow Bend) for sunset views.

Day 2 – Grand Teton “greatest hits,” minimal effort

  • Morning: Scenic drive into Grand Teton National Park, or take a guided wildlife tour. You might see moose, elk, bison, or bears.

  • Afternoon: Picnic or lodge lunch with Teton views. Take a float trip on the Snake River with a guide, or hike to Taggart Lake.

  • Evening: Head back to town for dinner, and hot tub or enjoy a fire pit at your lodging.

Day 3 – Gondola + gallery time

  • Morning: Ride the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram or gondola at Teton Village for views without a big hike; short strolls up on top if you want.

  • Midday: come back to town for lunch, possibly a final stroll through town.

  • Afternoon: head to the airport for your flight home.

Foodie weekend getaway: Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is a strong foodie choice thanks to its blend of classic Lowcountry dishes, modern Southern cooking, rooftop bars, and walkable historic streets lined with cafes and restaurants. Southern hospitality does half the hosting.

Where to stay

  • You’ll want to stay in or near the Historic District so you can walk to most of your meals.

  • Any Historic District boutique hotel within walking distance of Broughton Street, City Market, and River Street works well, especially the Hotel Bardo Savannah or the Thompson Savannah for foodies.

Day 1 – History + classic Savannah flavors

  • Morning: Check in and start with a walk through the Historic District squares and along Bull Street. Grab a light bite along the way.

  • Afternoon: The Grey is a fantastic place if you can get a lunch reservation, set in a 1930s Greyhound bus terminal. Otherwise, there are lots of local eateries with amazing Southern cooking. Walk down Broughton Street and through the City Market.

  • Evening: If you’re in the mood for coastal Italian-inspired fine dining, try Saint Bibiana, or for inventive Southern plates, I recommend Local 11 Ten. Leopold’s Ice Cream is always a favorite for dessert.

Day 2 – Eat your way through town

  • Morning: Take a food tour this morning, where you’ll experience some of the city’s best bites.

  • Afternoon free time: shopping, gallery hopping, or more food. Ideas include Treylor Park or the Auspicious Baking Company. Hotel Bardo offers cooking classes that you may want to sample.

  • Evening: Sunset river walk, followed by an elevated dinner at someplace like Alligator Soul, Common Thread, or Cotton & Rye. You may want to stop for dessert at Lulu’s Chocolate Bar.

Day 3 – One last indulgence

  • Morning: Try one of the bakeries you haven’t experienced yet.

  • Midday: Specialty food shopping (olive oils, sweets, spices).

  • Afternoon: head to the airport for your flight home.

Nostalgic coastal girls’ trip: Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Cape Cod is classic New England nostalgic: shingled cottages, lighthouses, mini golf, ice cream stands, and slower paced beach towns. It’s often framed as more laid back and unplug and unwind compared to nightlife forward Newport.

Where to stay

The Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis is oceanfront with a private beach, specifically promoted for girlfriends’ and family getaways.

A charming inn in Chatham or Harwich for that quaint village feel near shops and restaurants.

Day 1 – Check in + beach stroll

  • Afternoon: Arrive, drop bags, and head straight to the beach for a walk and first toes in the sand moment.

  • Evening: Casual seafood dinner at a local clam shack or harborside restaurant, then grab some ice cream and a sunset walk along the water or main street.

Day 2 – Classic Cape day

  • Morning: Rent bikes and ride part of the Cape Cod Rail Trail or explore town by bike.

  • Midday: Head to the beach with sandwiches and snacks; or take a harbor cruise or whale watching excursion.

  • Afternoon: Shopping (bookstores, t shirt shops, fudge and candy stores), and maybe a lighthouse visit.

  • Evening: Go to dinner at a cozy inn or waterfront spot; play some board games or watch a rom-com back at your inn.

Day 3 – Harbor town + mini detour

Morning: Drive to Chatham, Hyannis, or Provincetown to get the feel for another classic coastal town. Another option: Shop on main street, browse the boutiques, or visit the beach or a lighthouse. If there’s time, grab some chowder or lobster rolls for lunch.

Afternoon: Head to the airport for your flight home.
